E350 4matic Coupe
Tire issue, very noisy on all road surface
Hello everyone, I have a c300 4matic with 17inch Pilot HX MXM4 tires, still have around 45% trend life.
But this tire is so loud on the road, no matter is 35mph or 70mph, its speed sensitive. The noise sounds like broken bearing.
Can anyone recommend any quite 4season tire?
Thank you

Why not rotate the tyres front to back & direction. ? Have them running in the opposite direction to wear off the cupping of the edges.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I've heard good things about Continental DWS tires for a quiet ride, longevity, and good grip during wet, dry, and light snow.

I agree with Carsy.
The ex had same oem MXM4 tires, and they suffered from "feathering" noise. I had to cross rotate them every 5K miles to keep the noise down.
Feathering wear is a result of the rotating contact ot the inner and outer tread blocks with the road surface, that leaves the leading height of a tread block higher than the trailing height. If you run your finger tips lightly along the outer ring of tread, it will feel rough going back, but smoother sliding forward.
By reversing the direction of rotation, it will reverse the feathering wear process, reaching a no-feathering condition, and then starting the same wear process in the new direction.
Domm, the DWS on my Mazda6 also have feathering wear, and must be cross rotated.

same issue..it is tire cupping !
I own a 2010 c -300 with the michelins, 17s staggered factory set up!
The issue is tire cupping!
Suspension issues, tire inflation, not properly aligned vehicle, defective tires, are all contributors !
Dealer has road force balanced, and aligned but...still loud howling sound like bad wheel bearings!
Back at the dealer now,any input form you guys ??
Very,very frustrated!!
