Washer Fluid Leaking
Washer Fluid Leaking
Here's my story, I drove my car for about 8 to 9 hours and when I parked the car I notice a leak. The leak was on the front driver side tire well. I thought it was water condensation. But I touched it and smelt it, it smell like washer fluid and then I had a warning on my car saying check washer fluid. I thought it might be a hose that busted open but it's hard to check when the reservoir is tucked all the way in there. So my question is, do you guys know the cause of this problem or how to fix it? I did all the search but didn't find anything.

It's usually a cracked reservoir or a broken pipe. Are you in an area that experiences freezing conditions?
Update:
I had a few problem with my car, one was the leak of the washer fluid reservoir and the other is my navigation screen was flicker on and off. Lucky i still have CPO coverage and got my whole navigation screen replaced, looked brand new. But the CPO warrenty didn't cover my leaked washer fluid reservoir. They first asked for over $200, I told them i don't want them to replace it or get it fix. And today I went in to get my nagivation screen replaced, on the invoice it said i decline the repair of the washer fluid reservoir and the invoice said it would cost me $400.
So I took my car back home with the new nagivation screen and took out my driver side tire and the under gorment of the wheel well. And i check where the leak came from. It was a little leak from the washer fluid pump, that small little pump. I order a generic one on ebay only for $10!!!! So i'm waiting on that part to come in so i can get it fix. I would have wasted $400 for a simple repair.
Oh also they did some sort of recall, they replaced a wiring harness adaptor for the camshaft adjustment solenoid. Not sure what that is but whatever makes my car run better without any future problems.

I had the same problem. I checked the problem myself and the cause was that the electric pump that is in the reservoir was leaking. I order it in ebay for about RD$25.00 and replaced it myself. Very easy todo.
I was finally able to get the inner fender off so I could inspect what was leaking windshield washer fluid from my 2008 C300.
It turned out to be the plastic fitting that connects the windshield washer hose to the windshield washer pump.
Although I removed the plastic pieces and connected the hose directly to the washer pump, I would like to replace the broken part.
I'm having trouble finding it separately. It appears to come already attached to the hose.
What is it called and have you seen it sold seperately?

Its pretty much a no-brainer. Open the hood. Also remove the inner wheel well trim by the front end where the reservoir resides. from there, I believe its just a couple of bolts. You might want to replace the rubber grommets with new ones in the new reservoir.

Fixed with PVC pipe glue!
Rather than replacing the washer reservoir I opted for a simpler solution mentioned in the X204 forum. I applied 4 coats of the pvc pipe glue on the crack and it is no longer leaking.
