Comand APS with 6-dvd changer questions
I recently acquired a 2009 c300 4matic which has alot of options but I'm a bit confused on my comand aps with 6 dvd changer. I also have NAVI, Linguatronic, Sirius satelitte radio.
Does this mean that my Comand also has an HDD drive? do the DVDs support videos (in park mode) and mp3 audio?
Would it also have an ipod / multimedia connector. Does it automatically come with the options I have?
I haven't had the time to check this out yet.
Also, for the North American Navi Disc(s), what is the part/disc # for the 2013 maps?
Thanks alot

And yes, the 6-disc changer does support DVDs (when the vehicle is in park, unless you install an aftermarket Video-In-Motion kit).
Enjoy your new ride!

Thanks awstansbury, aamirani
I will check for my ipod connection.
As for the 6 disc dvd changer it supports MP3's as well? which means tons of music but I guess the best solution (and faster response thru comand aps) is still to get an ipod, load it with music and leave it in the glove box instead of playing around with discs?
I wouldn't want my iPhone 5 for this purpose. I want to keep my phone with me and only use it with for bluetooth calls.
As for the video in motion, I read elsewhere than we could also do it by going in to the engineering mode of the comand aps and set some special commands?
Also, is it true that the Navi cannot be used while in motion? which means only voice controls are available while in motion?
Is there also an engineering mode menu override to disable the navi lock while in motion?
Thanks alot

Congrats on the new ride. Don't know if you got the manuals but wanted to let you know it is available here http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...owners_manuals
I also find it easy doing searches through the pdf.

Thanks! I did download the PDF owners manual and the comand aps manual. I've started to read them. Tons of pages but all fun stuff

I just leave a spare iPod in my car at all times just for music that's connected to my iPod connection, keeps it charged as well.
Addresses can't be entered in navi while driving.
