Got my car back from the dealer today and saw this..

So I took my car to the dealer yesterday to get my jerky transmission checked out as well as the loud *** buzzing I heard from the dash when I turned off my DRLs

They told me they would need to do a 150mile run to test adaptation points and I agreed to let them do it, warning them to be careful since the car has a lip as well being lower than normal.

I got a call at 3 telling me they couldn't replica the buzzing noise and there were no error codes and the adaptation points were within MB standards so I could come pick up my car.

Upon arriving I find what you see in the picture. Not only that but they didn't even run my car for 150miles. the car is at 14136 atm and I dropped off the car knowing it had hit 14xxx.
Now I have to ask rob to find his receipt for the lip (DCTMS) since I bought it second hand from him so that they can replace it.

Dude, screw them.

Lawyer up, hit the gym, and delete Facebook.

But seriously, are you asking for advice? Are they going to replace it? Get that **** in writing.

My advisor called out someone from parts and she told me since its aftermarket they needed to verify the manufacturer to get it properly replaced. They asked if I had a receipt or they could put it on a lift to try and see if there was a branding on the lip.

I already know theres no branding from when I installed the thing so I told them I'd ask my friend to find the receipt. Definitely should get that in writing though. I'll check with them again tomorrow.

That is a real bummer. Hope they sort out both issues quickly!

I had some work done recently and they put 3 scratches in my side skirt. They tried to remove them and couldn't sand said "tough luck, it's minor." Amazing!

I was able to remove the scratches at home and my machine polisher I wrote the manager with the good news and he didn't even write me back to thank me for fixing their mistake (or just say he was happy for me).

is it legal for them to really just let it slide on their own mistake like that? it sure seems like it doesn't alongside being completely unethical.

I wouldn't have accepted it. I'm not a litigious person, but either it comes back to me in the same shape I gave it to them or they get ran up the legal system tree.

I don't know, but they truly make it sound like I was being petty for complaining about the three scratches.

They don't want to be responsible for anything whatsoever. I guess they would have to cut your car in half before they might admit something.
