Why would you need it to be on while driving forward?

I have video in motion and I think when I hold the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time long enough, I can see what's going on in the back while I'm driving. I will have to confirm because I have not gotten in my car for a month now.....

My guess is to see something like if someone's too close or something. I wouldn't mind that ability so that if someone if someone is on my tail I could switch lanes. Because some cars seem a lot closer then they actually are or so it seems.

No you absolutely can and I do but sometimes I just like to have many different options. My biggest use for this would be to view other cars. Like the other day I had a nice Aston roll up behind me but I didn't get a chance to see his front end mods since someone moved between us the minute the light went green. Not really a major thing that must be done for me at least but I always think its cool just to have options on everything.
