M276 Engine?
Does anyone have any (preferably official) information about difference between the M276 in the 2013 C300 and C350? I've heard ranges from it being all software, to the difference being deeply mechanical (port sizes, quality and strength of materials). Does anyone know?
Thanks

Also, I found this on Kleemann's website:
Will the 7G-tronic be able to handle the power of a Kleemann tuning solution? Back to top
The 7-speed 7G-tronic transmission (722.9) has now replaced the most of the 5-speed (722.6) transmissions Mercedes Benz used since 2000. All new N/A V6 and V8 vehicles are now being built with the WA700 variant of the 7G-tronic. The WA700 variant is endurance load rated by Mercedes Benz at 760 Nm (560 lbs/ft) of torque. This means the transmission will handle this amount of power continuously with out failure. There will never be a time where one can develop this kind of power continuously on the road. Momentary load ratings are easily 35 % higher than continuous ratings, and the 7G-tronic transmission will easily handle the performance from a Kleemann conversion. The 7G-tronic has been available since 2004, and Kleemann has modified many of these vehicles. None of these modified vehicles has had any trouble to date, many of them having logged in excess of 64000 km (40000 miles).

Eurocharged is a good option and I'm sure OE tune has sorted theirs out as well.
Yeah I'm aware of the difference/similarity of the m276 in the my13 and my14 c300's and c350's. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually got provable results. I checked out a company called Bren Tuning. They have a video of a 3.5L c300 4matic with baseline results. I've contacted them for some more info, waiting for reply.
Pretty sure most all modern MB motors do, in U.S. spec. Europeans have higher standards of petrol than we do so when their engines are designed they are designed with a minimum octane rating, which is typically standard pump gas over there but mid grade/premium over here. There's a lot of info out there regarding this. The consensus is that the m276 engines in 2013 and 2014 c300's are identical ( so far I can verify that bc every part I've needed I had to get was the same as the c350 ) and it's just a factory "de-tune" done to the ecu that makes them differ. The problem is, I've searched ad nauseam and have not found ANY verifiable numbers. Not from customers or the various tuners that offer the service to these very specific engines.
I want this thread to come back to life! I love my c300. I just want a little more from it and mainly because I know it has the easily realized potential to do so!
