2009 CLK350 4Matic
CLK350 4Matic completely dead.

I have a 2009 CLK350 4Matic and this morning I went to get into my car and the keyless entry wouldn't work. I thought maybe the battery in that was dead so I used the mechanical key and opened the door, but the anti theft system didn't make a sound. I then put the key in the ignition and tried to turn the engine over, but there was no response aswell as no response when turning on any interior lights or hazard lights. Everything is completely dead. I am going to charge the battery tomorrow morning to see if its that, but the car was only sitting overnight in -5 degree whether. I had just recently driven the car 650km in snowy weather aswell as recently had my engine shampooed a week ago. But there had been no issues prior. Does anybody have any input? Not really pleased if I am going to have to tow my car into a shop.

Thanks

Checking the battery would be my first assumption. My battery died a week and I didn't need to use my mechanical key to enter. My lights and everything still works but this was in 70 degree weather and the battery still had some juice even though it wasn't enough to turn over. If this is a battery issue, I'd invest in a battery maintainer because of how cold it gets where you're located.

Also, you're in the wrong section.

I would also like to add that the power locks did not work, I had to use the mechanical key to lock the driver door up again.
