Some members were looking for specifics on the software update used by MB dealerships to adjust the transmission lag in the W204 C300. I am providing a copy of my invoice to the community. I can't say I see any specific software revision notices on here, though. They also performed a recall on solenoid while it was in. Anyways, hope it helps someone.

Thanks for posting it. Did they fix the problem, and did it help in any other ways?

It DID tremendously help. Though its not 100% gone, I can attest to an 75% improvement in the lag. As far as the manual gear changes not responding immediately, this is by design, and somewhat a result of my driving style (i.e. sometimes I drive it like you would a true standard, letting off the gas before shifting. I found that if I shift while still on the accelerator, the transmission will shift on demand.

I found I can get the desired effect by releasing my foot from the accelerator right after hitting the shifter. As far as the manual gear changes not responding immediately, this is by design, and somewhat a result of my driving style (i.e. sometimes I drive it like you would a true standard, letting off the gas before shifting.
