First Post - Intro / New to MB / Bought 2011 C300
Hey everyone, new to the MB World and purchased a 2011 C300 about a week ago for the wife. Her old car was a Lexus IS300 which was a pretty nice car, but the MB has been awesome so far. I'm more of a domestic muscle car guy but can appreciate all nice cars, and I'm really liking her car. I think the interior is nice, great styling, and has decent power.
So a few questions on the dealership costs. The car has 21k miles on it, we bought the 3 year / 30k mile service plan for $999. I think its a good investment reading on how much the transmission service is coming up soon, the brake flush, etc. I also bought the extended warranty that takes the car to 135k or 7 years for ~$2500. It seemed like a decent price since the finance guy wanted $3500 at first. Also I don't want to worry about issues in the future. Does the price seem good because I can still get it refunded?
I'm pretty handy with a wrench, have done headers, cam, timing belt, roller rockers, and not afraid to tackle most installs. But for my wife's car which most likely will stay stock I like having the warranty. The service plan she wanted which was fine by me after looking at the cost of each service.
Anyways just wanted to post a first newb post for introduction and get some feedback

Welcome aboard - I think you did good with the service plan and warranty - as long as you feel safe with the wife driving without worries, the price is right...
Trans service - I paid $342, brake flush $100 , service A $200, in 30K miles you should break even or so...the service covers all cost?
Blown Red Z? Assuming Camaro? I had a '79 tunnel rammed Z28...wish I still did...
