I'm borrowing this quote from the comments that follow the article:
"The C handles like a sports car and is beautifully finished. I have driven MB since 1960. Several times during that period I looked hard at BMW but the MB's always came out on top on balance. I've raced cars and cycles but how many times can you or are you going to push to the extremes that will take advantage of what is said to be in the BMW? I love the mystique BMW has built into its brand and MB has let that happen. Why?"
I've been buying Benzes since the 60s as well and wholeheartedly agree.
