Scraped going over a speed bump into an unseen pothole on the bump's other side this morning. Can't see it but I can feel it if I run my hand under the lip. First mark I've put on the car to date. Starting to think the Northeast Corridor keeps the roads crappy to boost SUV sales.

Agreed, contemplating trading the W204 for something more practical and FASTER than a C300, like the new Range Rover Sport or even the economical Evoque, both of which are faster, safer, more comfortable, better tech and materials, quieter, and can be driven over a rough field at 50 MPH.

Either of these Range Rovers are "the only car you will ever need". Well besides a nice quick 2-seat roadster which you can tow behind.

Okay, I laughed. I can't help but think of the Citroën 2CV requirement of carrying a basket of eggs across a plowed field.

2010 C300 Sport
That was the pre-Tata RR, transmissions were unreliable and build quality low. The new RR Sport is a full 800 lbs lighter than the old one thanks to its aluminum build, and with the new supercharged 3.0L 340 HP 350 lb.ft. torque engine, does 0 to 60 in a bit under 5.0 secs. Transmission is now an 8-speed ZF capable of towing 5000 lbs, which makes any Merc transmission look childish.

The Evoque has the ultra-reliable Ford Ecoboost 2.0L 4-cyl 240 HP 251 lb.ft. engine, with a 9-speed ZF AWD arrangement (no torque vectoring though like the Sport) and are super-reliable. Does about 6.5 secs 0 to 60. Tows 3500 lbs and gets 28 MPG average.

Build quality of both is superior to the W204, GLK, GL and the M IMO. Better ergonomics. More hi-tech stuff standard. More luxury.

So it looks like we're selling either the C300 or the M3, and getting the Evoque, which is a bargain $41k including back-up cameras, NAV, and a 375 watt Meridian sound system included standard, not the lame Audio20 the W204 still comes with. An 875 watt Meridian system is optional.

Please, please for the love of God sell your C300 so we won't have to read your constant complaints about it.

Not complaining, just surprised that Mercedes Benz missed the mark. The 2012-13 W204's are far better with more updated and useable tech. The W205 C400 may turn out to be a fabulous car. I apologize for my complaints in the past, just being objective.
