Hi everyone
I have the same problem with other associated problems.
First the temperature gauge is doing exactly as shown on the video, what's more, it sometimes moves in a crazy way up and down till it reaches the zero. This is always associated with a one or two jerks, not always happening!
I checked the error codes and got two errors, one is P033631 Crankshaft sensor malfunction and the other is P011927 Coolant temperature sensor!!

I replaced both, but still getting the same and suddenly I got check engine light on my OBD
Any help?

I have an e class w212 and the temperature of my car goes from 90degres to 50 or sometime it goes to 100 and than falls down. Before this problem i changed my thermostat because i had problems with my ac so my thermostat is new. I went to the official mercedes benz about this temperature problem but they didnt know this problem so they told me to buy a new thermostat. Anyone can help me because mechanics in my country are not very good some say me that my pomp of water is the problem others tell me other thing and i am very stressed and dissapointend from my mercedes! Thank you

I have a 2008 C350, with the following symptoms:
coolant warning, temp needle going up and down, a/c blowing but no cold area.
This is happening to my car, did you replace the fan module? Thanks in advance

This might be a dumb question but are you guys talking about the fan in the footwell of the passenger or the main radiator fan?

Anyone find a definitive solution? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have a 2007 CLK350 with the same symptoms—coolant warning light and temp gauge quickly fluctuating up and down. Happens occasionally and it's difficult to reproduce. When it does happen the car does not seem to be overheating.
Has anybody with the same issue actually solved it definitively? It's great to get lots of opinions (temperature sensor, fan module, thermostat, etc.) but it would be really nice to hear from someone who found a definitive solution to fixing this.

Just wondering if you had any luck yourself?
My 2010 C350 (W204) issues:
- High Temp indicator coming on, even though the engine temp is normal.
- Sometimes the engine temp fluctuates too high even while conservative driving.
I replaced the thermostat which fixed the irregular high over speeding fan and not blowing hot enough heat during the winter.
Still the temp indicator comes on for no apparent reason. Running the A/C doesn't seem to affect it yet. Although when it's warmer outside the temp seems to creep up then back back down, high temp icon comes on and fan runs more.
My next step is to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor in hope this may help, but who really knows....as no one else seems to know either. Strange!

At the end of the day after replacing two sensors and the thermostat it came down to having to replace the entire fan unit. Even though the fan appeared to be working it wasn't functioning properly and doing the job of keeping the radiator at the proper operating temperature. Hope this helps.

Did you get this problem solved
