Service A and Service B HELP?
I asked the dealer how much for Service A and B and the prices were as followed-
At 40,000 Service A - 221
At 40,000 Service B - 1,221
Now that's a 1,000 difference for Service A and B! Do I NEED a service B - or can I get away with getting a Service A?
From my understanding, Service B is just a luxurious inspection that probably could be done with handy tools.

Please dont say that I shouldn't have got a Mercedes if you couldn't afford the maintenance, because that is not true. I can afford it, but just want to understand if 1,000 difference is truly worth it. Rich or broke - 1,000 is 1,000 dollars. haha

At 40,000 miles you may be looking at transmission fluid change, filter and possibly brake pads.
I suggest you have the dealer show you the MB required service that you receive when you purchase it as part of the four or five year maintenance package.
Once you know you can take it to a local German Car specialist and obtain a competitive quote. Here in Maryland a Service B at 20,000 was $500-$600 at the dealer and my local shop (BMW mechanics) would do it for $270.00.
