Tail Light connector...

Hey guys,

Pulled my taillight today and noticed one connector has a broken push release. The part that you press in to pull the connector out. I could almost not get the connector out because I could onlt press and release one side.

Is there any way to replace this connector and where does it lead to?

Cheers,

Adam

I wouldn't worry about it since you don't go in there often, just use a thin # 1 flat head to depress the tab next time you need to pull it.

Replace it asap, I have seen almost 20 204.s with burnt tail light connectors.

Because a loose connector will most likely cause a voltage arc, burning the connector wich happened in the cases above.

You are correct. The pins are designed to hold on to the male end on the lights. However, after futher inspection and some error messages, it appears I have corrosion on the connector. Drove to Dealer and they are fully aware of the problem and will rewire everything with a better ground, etc. All under warranty.

I recently upgraded from non led to half led and do like the look better. I would love to have the oem 2012's but that is a fair bit of cash and I can't find anyone to do the 2010 SAM reprogram.

Thanks for the replies.
