Installation cf diffuser

I just received my carbon fiber diffuser and I have a question regarding the installation for it because I'm going to be doing a quad exhaust mod after I install it. Does the dual exhaust cf diffuser attach to my 2008 c300 sport perfectly without problems, or do I need the brackets? Also how do you remove the stock diffuser and install the cf diffuser. Here's a pic of the attachment slots for the cf diffuser.

it will bolt up just fine. if you choose not to get the brackets, there is a method on this forum to secure the diffuser using some easily accessibly nuts and bolts from your local hardware store just do a search

Is it recommended to use a bracket? What if I don't use brackets, will the diffuser stay in place?

I'm just using screws and bolts n all that and it works perfectly. Even better I think since it's adjustable to how you like it.

Well....I am a pretty damn mechanically inclined individual...and I have a CF diffuser sitting under my bed....with 2 broken tabs....

The tabs are really thick compared to the stock plastic version, and I even dremmeled a few of them to make them thinner as well as less wide, still cannot get the damn thing on my car....I am waiting for a day when I have an over abundance of patience and I will try again.

All I can say is be patient and do not try to force it in place. Removing the stock one is obvious once you get under the car, good luck with it!

That sucks man, hope you get it in. Hopefully I can just get it in without brackets.

I intended to either get brackets at some point or use a nut and bolt. Just to get by for a day or two, I used a couple of zip-ties. 8 months later, the zip-ties are still holding. I'll see if I can post a pic later today. Installation of the diffuser was a breeze. Literally 5 minutes.
