Accelerator pedal/gaspedal vibration at low RPM
Hello everyone.
Recently got my first new C200 CGI. I have been noticing that when the car is driven at around 1500RPM, the accelerator/gas pedal vibrates. Depressing the pedal little more makes it disappear. I sent the car to the dealership for inspection late last week. Their mechanic's initial response - I don't feel any vibration (a response that I was somehow already expecting). Anyway, they kept the car for further inspection, and finally sent it back to me after updating the software, saying that it should hopefully make a difference now. However, unfortunately there is no change.
My questions are - has anyone faced the same problem? If yes, what did they do to get rid of it (the vibration is bothering me quite a lot)? My previous car was a non-turbo, is it possible that this is how the turbo engines behave at low RPM? Please help.
Thanks a lot guys!

This is a fly by wire throttle. The gas pedal is not hard connected to anything other than the floor/firewall of the car. If the gas pedal is vibrating then the floor/firewall must be vibrating in sympathy with the engine if it's rev related.
I would investigate engine/transmission mounts. Also make sure nothing is touching the firewall in the engine compartment or tunnel. It should be easy to see as it would leave a bright mark.
This is not normal.

Thanks for your quick response Glyn. Would any of the things that you've recommended checking log anything in the transmission log (is this what it's called?)? If not, I'll call them to ask if they checked the mounts and the firewall.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Hi Glyn, everyone,
Talked to the dealership service department this evening. They said the mounts would have been checked as well. I don't believe them, so I'm planning to have the car inspected elsewhere. Let's see what they find, and then I'll go back to the dealership for repair. I wish the issue gets diagnosed properly soon.
