2013 C300 RPM ISSUE

Hi peoples,

I am having an issue on the RPM needle having a bit of play, ticking up and down like its loose or something, when cruising at a steady speed on the highway.
I have searched the forum for people with the same issue but have not found a solution on the problem. The car is brand new with 600 km on the clock. Had this issue since day 1.
I took it to the dealer, now its with them for 3 days. At first they said it was "normal"
But I know what I am looking at and it ain't normal, especially its a freaking new car.
Dealer said the instrument software on the ECU was not up to date, so they updated it. But after I drove it home, the issue is still there. So I took it back to them with rage. And they said they will have a look at it again.

Here is a video I took a few days ago before putting my car at the dealer:

Anyone can shed some light on this issue?

Thanks.

I've seen something similar, not in a MB, but the solution was to get a fresh tank of gas from a different station. Preferably the highest octane, from a station that is not the same chain as where you've been getting gas.
in my case it was bad gas.

I'll give that a try. I normally go to Chevron so maybe I'll try Shell?

Try any of the toptier gas brands other than chevron. Wait till your tank is nearly empty before you fill it up.

you might also want to add a bottle of techron before you fill up.

Does the car surge? Maybe watch the road instead of staring at the tach?!

I don't think it was a fuel issue. But I am not sure.
Been filling the tank with Ron 95 fuel since day 1. Shell V Power and the sort.
I am pretty sure its a manufacturing defect. Especially its a brand new car.
And I have been seeing people with this similar issue.
Looks like all of them were on the V6 engine.

MB probably wont give a since its not life threatening.
But I won't back down till they fix it, I paid full on this thing, why should I swallow the pain.

I would, if this thing is working the way it should be.

It does surge a tiny bit, I can feel it, but the dealer did not. My friend felt it too, but the dealer did not. We all know what sort of people they are, they would just keep denying. And I would just keep climbing back Lol
