DIY : MB204 Compustar Remote Start Install

I talked to compustar and the sales guy says the new Dronemobile DR-3100 unit will work. Now smaller and uses Verizon cdma network. $50 a year for basic plan.

Everything installed and working, Woot! (I only wish my heated seats came on with remote start)
Tips: Beware that white clip, its a pain to remove from the back of the EIS, a pain to slide off from the harness (There is a tiny notch holding it in place) and it was a pain to reinsert into the back of the EIS after the swap out. The damn thing wouldn't go back in completely and lock.
It doesn't help that the space in the dash is small and I have large man hands.
P.S. You get 3 months free drone mobile service.

Having some trouble
Attempting to install the compustar remote starter on my 2013 C Coupe. Having some trouble with the EIS - the cable is extremely short. Any advice for getting some slack with the cable?
Try a hook and pick set to un hook the cable and/or a friend with very small hands.
look at the images in the PDF instructions on the first post.

Remote starter installation 2013 C-coupe
Just installed the remote starter on my coupe yesterday. Was planning on installing the keyless go harness as well but after struggling to access the CAM block I called it quits.
**Note: The pictures and instructions from previous posts and install manual are for models prior to 2012**
Personally, I thought the install of the compustar unit was quite challenging. To access the EIS I first had to remove the wood dash trim and release the center A/C vents, then remove the plastic below the instrument cluster which extends to the NAV screen, and finally release the boot around the steering wheel. Another challenge was the extremely short EIS cable - I was able to get more room to work with the cable routed under the wheel boot. Also, plugging that EIS cable back in was painful (literally, I suggest wearing cut-proof gloves). Lastly, there were two additional blue connectors that were not accounted for on the diagram in the install manual - I just connected the two of them.
When it was all said and done the remote start worked like a charm. If anyone has experience installing the keyless go harness and can provide tips I would appreciate it. Will also post installation pics.

Use the trim removal tool and start in the lower right corner.
Work your way releasing the trim toward AC vents. Must release by pressing tabs on the periphery inside the vents.
NEWS FLASH!
I just got the Dronemobile version 3.0 android application update and I noticed my voltage, temperature and lock/unlock status is never correct.
So I called tech support and you know what they told me? That my controller doesn't support vehicle status.
A primary selling feature of their product!
I also have premium service and the tech support guy is saying that this is not supported by my controller. Looool!!!
Can anyone with dronemobile confirm this on their W204?
