2014 C-300 4Matic Luxury Sedan
I'm glad I found this post

I ordered my 2014 C300 4Matic Luxury sedan in early June, it had a build date in late June - in Germany, and arrived in Baltimore on 7/24. I just found out that it hasn't been "released" yet and not sure when it will be liberated and sent to my dealer. I'm hoping that September 1 will be the release date, since I'm anxious for my new car. My current one is a bit long in the tooth (but still runs great, just want the new technology -- my current one predates GPS, satellite radio, media interfaces, etc.).

I find it very strange indeed of the '14 still not being released. The only reason I am guessing there must be a huge leftover '13 C class inventory in the US

I agree, but it doesn't seem logical to hold 2014's that are effectively "sold". It's not like I'm going to buy a 2013 from stock instead (tried that, and couldn't find the combination of options and color I wanted).

I'm hoping Sept 1 will be the release date. Can't wait for my new wheels.

2014 C350 Release Information

My new 2014 C350 has been sitting in the Baltimore port since July 2nd.
After many requests to my dealer, and his to MBUSA, he advised me the car will be released in early September.
As of today that is still the expected time frame.
Any members that have received a new 2014 model could you post a photo of the new grille and or wheels?
Thanks in advance.

Release 8/27 & Pricing

Ordered my 2014 CClass on June 3, expected production date 2013/06/3D. It too has been in port since at least July 24. I received an update on August 13 that release date was going to be August 27. So 5 weeks or more sitting at port, hot, unprotected. Neither am I happy.

Pricing was another thing. In June pricing was NOT set. When I received the update that it was in Port I asked about pricing. Here's my window sticker. I'm interested what others might be paying. Invoice? Less? etc

2014 C-300 4Matic Luxury Sedan
Just learned my car has been released!

I got word from my sales person that they released my car, next step is to get a slot on a car carrier up to Massachusetts. Hope this is a good sign for everyone else.

My order is for the C300 4Matic Luxury Sedan, so release dates may vary based on model.

I'm psyched! Didn't think it would take close to 3 months when I ordered it. But good thing I'm patient.

3 months is pretty quick I'd say.

When the facelift cars first came out in 2012, if you wanted the 6 disc CD/DVD changer or the lighting package, it was a 6+ month wait. I lucked out and got mine in 6 months - the lower end of the projections. Had I pressed for a German production car, it would have been even longer.

The Tsunami in Japan destroyed several factories where parts for our cars were made - and certain options were damn near unavailable unless you waited.

Congratulations - it's an amazing car!

Thank you! I've been planning on getting a new one for years, and picking the right moment to do it, so a few months won't kill me!

Car Released

After SKYMOM advised her car was released, I contacted my dealer and told the salesman. I requested he check on my wife's car status. After three hours he emailed that her car was released and is now awaiting transport to the dealership.
I find it hard to believe the salesman would not check the status every day for his customer's waiting for their cars. A simple computer check and five minutes online would tell him if anything changed. There is no reason I should have to tell him, a car I have been waiting for, for two months, has been released.
In any case it should be here next week.
I am sure there are lots of trucks delivering the CLAs to dealers through out the
country.
Thanks SKYMOM for the heads-up.

New '14 Mars Red C350W customer

Hello everyone. I picked up my first Benz last night after waiting as well for what seemed like forever. I placed my special order back in May and while it reached the VPC facility in mid July, I couldn't take delivery until MB HQ "released" the 2014 year. I noticed a few tiny differences with the '14s compared to prior years.

The car drives great and is a huge step up from Japanese imports.

Glad to help! Hope your wife enjoys her new car as much as I'm looking forward to enjoying mine. I'm surprised that you had to ping your sales rep. When I talked to my sales person on Monday, she told me she was checking the system first thing every morning, since she had a number of orders in the same boat as mine. Hopefully we'll be enjoying them by Labor Day weekend.

Enjoy! This is my second one -- first one served me well for over 19 years and 104K miles. I live in the Northeast, so I also have had a 4WD/AWD car for the winter months. I'm looking forward to going down to managing just one car now with the 4Matic.

Congratulations
where are you located?
Sean, please do not keep us in suspense. Lets see the photos!
I am also waiting for a Mars Red C350. Did you order the AMG 18" wheel package? Pix please.
What other differences do you see?

Hi SKYKING44. I ordered mine with: lighting package, driver assistance, panorama sunroof, 18" 5 twin spoke AMG wheels, power rear sunshade, multimedia package and rear side airbags.

Besides the black painted grille fins (prior years were silver), I noticed that the ambient lighting inside is missing from the interior door pulls (not the metal levers) but the place where you place your hand to pull the door shut. The usual amber strips of light shine inside the door handles; however the door itself is dark. I had prior C250 loaners and noticed they had the additional lights. A bit bummed about that. I'm having my dealer check into that.

I'll have to snap interior night photos.

Great looking car.
What interior does it have? Mine is Cappuccino, which I have never seen. Dealer only had photos.
Are the 18" AMG wheels the same as previous years?
What tire size on front and back. MFg?
Thanks

It has the black leather with ash wood trim. As you'll see, I'm pointing to the door pulls that don't seem to have ambient lights shining inward. The amber strips are visible inside the metal release handles.

Wish there was more lighting but I'm sure that'll come with the next series iteration.

The wheels are the same 5 twin spokes that have been available for several years now. They have aged well and continue to look striking on most MB models.

Sean the car looks great, hmnn that doesnt make sense, why would they take those off for the last model year...nothing else interior wise looks different, it should be the same car. Maybe they arent working or something; you should have the dealer look into that...

Yeah I don't get why they would leave things out either. I kept feeling the inner door handles and don't feel anything that might suggest lights are there. Oh well, the coupe versions never had lights there either so I don't feel as bad. Just expected them to be there from my other loaner experience with a 2012 C250.

Another thing deleted are headlamp washers. I have the lighting package and there are no cut outs on the bumpers where the sprayer nozzles deploy from. That's not a big deal for me as I'm in California but still.

It's day three for me and the car drives fantastic and keeps turning heads.

SKYKING44, I'll check out the tire sizes for you too.

My car arrived at the dealer

I heard from my sales rep yesterday and my car is in at the dealer. They're doing prep and based on my work schedule, I'm planning to pick my new wheels up this Wednesday (8/28).

SKYKING44, hope this means your wife's car is going to arrive soon too (mine went to Massachusetts, might take a little longer to get to you perhaps.)

i felt the inner door handle on our 2013 and it obviously has the lights, but the light strip isnt raised or anything, and it feels like a part of the door. Have you looked at the inner side of the door pool?, actually all 4 doors? There should be a clear strip there that has the amber lights. If there is a strip there and the lights arent shining, then clearly something is wrong. If there is no strip and its just the black door pull material, then thats a bummer .

SKYKING44, I have a 2013 C350W Dolomite Brown with Cappuccino interior and it looks awesome. It is very difficult to appreciate the Cappuccino color on the pictures. I had to find a dealer on my area to see it in person. When I saw it I felt in love with it. It is not too light or too dark. It is just right!!.

I had to drop my C off to have a defective ash tray door replaced and low and behold my loaner C250 base had the lit door pulls. See photo.

I asked the service department about them and why they're not on my almost fully optioned 350. They had no idea but suspected at its a standalone option.

They're checking if the door pull inserts can be replaced with lit ones.

Is not the end of the world but the additional lights sure warm up the cabin more. I will def be checking for these on my next order.

Car is doing great and hope everyone else enjoys theirs.
