Drove a 2013 C300 as a loaner for the last few days with ECO. When the engine turns off in ECO mode it shudders to a stop with a slight hesitation upon restart. Very unsettling feeling to have the motor turn off at a traffic light. Also strange that it seems to happen quite randomly and not necessarily when you expect it to. The override resets everytime you use the car. I don't care for it at all.

I agree, just bought my first C class this week. Love the car but the Eco thing....ugh....I turn it off. Knowing my car is dead at a light...no!!!!!
