Acoustic feedback on, no locking beeps?
Hey guys!
So I finally figured out how to turn on acoustic feedback, but my car doesn't make the 'three horn' sound of the car locking, just the single horn unlocking. It's a 2012 C class. Any advice? Is my car broken? I've searched all over the settings menu, and I guess I missed something?

For those who have it, the triple chirp is more like a distant forgotten "peep", in noisy environments such as in parking lots near interstates, it is inaudible. What do people with Keyless Go do? Do they leave their keys in the middle of the street and go back to see of their Benz is locked?
Since this is all computer controlled, what does it cost to include a few lines of code so that the OWNER and not some twerk in Stuttgart, decides how his investment will advise him that things are secure? Then you could choose chirps, peeps or better IMO a single toot of the horn, so that from 50 meters away, you can be sure your ride is safely locked.

My smart had the triple chirp, and I was disappointed to go to the horn with this car. It's a lot less refined, particularly when parking somewhere late at night and trying not to wake everyone up.

I recant about the horn and agree with MDMercedesGuy, however the "triple chirp" should be about 6 dB louder, IMO, to rise above urban noise during the day. Since the flashing lights are so obvious at night, perhaps the same photocell for the headlight control could be used to tone down the chirps. In a civilized society, we must all be more discrete.
