2013 c 300 engine noise
Hi guys I just recently purchased a new c 300 and since day one I hear this knocking noise on start up for like 5 seconds , is it common among these cars or do I have a problem in my hands. I have warranty for the next four years, now i'm considering maybe getting extended warranty.

Engine is cold so give the oil a chance to circulate it will go away. Maybe try a different oil on your next service.

Oh it goes away fast but buying a Mercedes I don't think we should be hearing these type of noises lol

I know exactly what you mean... I have a 2013 C300 and the knocking doesn't happen on a cold start. I'll hear it after you go for a short drive, stop the car and let's say wait for 5-10 mins and then start it up again. I'll hear it knocking for a couple seconds then it goes away.

Not sure whats making the noise...

I had a guy look at my car thinking the engine would fall apart any second because of that knocking noise haha.

Talk about embarrassing lol

Yes these engines are loud I've been noticing, and the noise is after the car has been driven and then stopped for a like an hour or so you are right I guess I'm not the only one with this issue.

Search around, members here have had service to get rid of the knocking noise. Talk to your service rep, there are internal documents about the fix.

What I meant was if there was anybody that has gone to the dealer lately and had any more feedback on this issue, and about this fix is it something you would fix or should I just let it be as I bought the car and don't want future issues if it's not fixed correctly, does the motor have to be taken out ? How long would it take for this fix
