Rev in park

I've read a forum about how a C was revving just sitting in park but i noticed when i turn my steering wheel in park it'll rev.

Anyone notice the same ? is it normal?

It takes a lot of effort to turn the wheel when the tire is not rolling so the RPMs bump up to accommodate the need for extra power to the power steering pump. For those of us who have driven non power steering vehicles, you know just how much energy is needed.

This is normal,
you will notice when you lock the wheel either direction the revs will drop again slightly as well as the wheel has finished moving.
