Dash-cam & a crazy Deer

So this is my first post.
I have a lot to say; some good and some not so good. But for starters, I'll start with my run-in with a crazy deer on my Brand New 2012 C300 with only about 2500 miles on it.
I have equipped my C with a dash cam and boy do I have stories to tell.
In this case, my Dash-Cam captured my run-in with a suicidal deer on 11/14/12 on Annapolis Rd, in Odenton MD.
My damage wasn't too bad.... a new hood, fender and mirror. In the video, the sound was the worst of it all.

After the incident I took the car to a body shop who did a good job with the car, however, they were unable to perfectly align the hood. I had to take it to another place twice and it still does not sit perfect. Mercedes hood is very tricky to put back. Even when the car was new, the hood did not align perfect. Anyone else has had this issue?

Also, in this video, you will understand what it means to have "no reaction time" when it's dark

Oy... that is rough.

What body shop did you use? Is it a Mercedes-Benz shop, or what type of guarantee do they offer?

The W204 has been out since 2008 with a clamshell hood, albeit slightly modified with our 2012 cars - that said, alignment is not a problem and definitely not something that you should have to accept as normal.

Where exactly is the hood misaligned - is it misaligned at the front/sides like it is torqued, or something else?

Excellent choice on the 7 spokes by the way... love the look of them on the sedan.

Did you mount the dash cam in any special way? or just suctioned to the windshield? I've always wanted to put in a dashcam, but didn't like the aftermarket cellphone/gps mount look.

Man that is ROUGH.
I know where you're coming from.
We have a lot of moose where I am from (largest of the deer) and when you hit them you're entire car is usually written off and a lot of times, the people driving die.

I am glad you're alright, you seemed to react pretty well to the accident.
Hopefully you get your hood all figured out. And hopefully it is the HOOD and not the unibody... Pulling "frames" (I know there's no frame) gets pretty tangly..

What, no "Oh, ****!"?? Pretty cool driver.
I had several deer run out onto the runway in front of the Citation I was landing at a TX airport. Had to slam on the brakes and just missed the suckers. (Key passenger was 7 mos. pregnant at the time.)
Good luck on final repairs.

The car was fixed at a body shop in Baltimore called Putty Hill body shop. It was really bad the day I picked it up. The hood didn't even close. They are not a Mercedes body shop. Just 3 weeks ago I took it back again and they guy was telling me "cars are not built like they were before". What ever that means. It's misaligned in the front where it meets the grill. The two section that look like teeth.

Yes, I just attached it to the windshield. I take it off every time I leave the car to prevent a break-in. Good thing to have. You would not believe how much stuff you record.
