Cold-Start stall
Reversed out of the garage area, and I had my steering locked onto the right turn, shifted in D, then just as I tried giving it a bit of gas the car stalled.
Never experienced stalling an automatic car, but I guess the cold start and quick shift kinda contributed to it, though I expected Mercedes better than this. Beyond that, I tend to find a big delay shifting from reverse to drive or vice versa, and late response when I take off from a stop, I drive a C220 and not sure if its a diesel engine thing or thats just how our C acts??

As for the stall, that is a weird one.
You have a diesel?
Did you let the glow plugs heat up or did you just get in, start and go right away?
I have a gasoline engine but I still wait for my engine speed to drop from around 1100 to around 650 before I go anywhere...
This is not meant to be a technical answer to your question, just a few things I have noticed that may be of some use to you.
Hopefully one of the "guru's" can provide a more in depth explanation to your issue and offer more possibilities.
