Guys, the OP posted saying he's resolved the issue, can we all just calm the **** down? No point arguing over meaningless things.

You're right the price is what attracts me, the future purchase would be a weekend car, not a daily driver. All I did was drive the car, all I wanted was some opinions and a little advice as most members complied to.
If your next purchase is going to be a weekend car only, you have a lot of options. What else is on the list? Are you a German/Import guy only? Lots of wicked cars for the weekends.....

And I feel one of the lucky ones who do not have any issues with 2010 E90 since new. Odo is currently at 27K and no repair history...knock on wood Not trying to steer away from topic, but I feel more relax and safe when driving the Merc. I don't have an M3 but I always feel like racing driving the bimmer.
To the OP, I will have no peace of mind driving a car with flood history. Overtime, you might end up spending more money than what it's worth.

I don't see any keyboard warrior type things going on here, you haven't been on the internet long enough. Just people with valid opinions and tips. You're lucky to live in a time where you can easily communicate with people and since everybody is different they will handle things differently so grow a thicker skin.

From what I gathered on your first post it seems like you wanted to sell your reliable, properly functioning and easy to maintain Benz ("Jump ship") for another car, the BMW M3. Excellent choice and I'm sure you're willing to budget for the extra running costs, repairs and maintenance but why in the hell would you go for a previous flood car? These cars have numerous electronics and I can only imagine the amount of corrosion that's beginning on that car. I wouldn't call the M3 rare so why not look for another one? Any smart buyer never buys the first one, heck I test drove 3 C Classes before deciding on buying the one I have now and we're talking $13k cars here.

You don't have to go for a CPO but get a good used one with service history, clean record and get it inspected by a proper indy or BMW dealership before dropping down the money to buy it.

Maybe I didn't introduce the topic clear enough and maybe that's why some have a hard time understanding. By "jumping ship" I meant pick something else up, at no time did I have intentions to sell my payment free c300. Like I stated before, my girl now drives the c-class (and loves it).

I asked for opinions/feedback and I got it, some were nasty with their feedback but most were very helpful. The flooded m3 was like the 4th I test drove. Like I stated, the one I ended up purchasing was from an enthusiast, a married middle aged man with kids, he had all the service records and It was inspected at a local Indy shop.

Perhaps buying a flood was a dumb idea to consider, but the issue was resolved like three months ago. Thanks.
