I purchased the oem illuminating doorsills and installed them myself in 2011. Now I am having battery drain issue and had to remove my aftermarket items, would they consider the oem doors sills also aftermarket because mb didn't perform the install?

OE Mercedes-Benz parts are not "aftermarket", regardless of who installs them. However, an improper DIY installation of an OE part could void a warranty on another directly affected part if the dealer can demonstrate cause-and-effect.

Thanks Sportstick. the dealer may just use that against me although it is just plug and play.

the only thing they can use against you is improper installation. Anything sold by the dealer is considered OEM and fully backed by the manufacture.
