Nav update, Induction and exhaust question
Hi guys,
I have a few questions if someone has some time to spare
1. My car is still under motorplan. I would like to find out should the dealership upgrade my maps for free or will it be out of my pocket?
2. Will I hear a sound difference if I install a performance filter?
3. I had a Focus ST that was modded and it made a lovely popping sound. Is it possible to get that on the Merc?
ps: Driving a 2008 C350
tx

Just found this:
Have to say it does sound nice
Car is still under motorplan for a year. Can I remove some restrictions on the stock exhaust or will that cause the motorplan to expire (and also drone is a big issue for me)

Nav updates will cost you, oiled cotton filters may give you a tiny bit more induction noise while a CAI setup will give you even more, the x-pipe will give you exhaust popping/gurgling on cold startup but you will need to remove secondary cats and mufflers to get a "loud" car.

For the NAV udpate, just buy the disk yourself and update it. No need to have the Dealership do it. For the popping, do X-pipe and post cat resonators delete ( they're NOT secondary CATs like so many people refer to them).

I am entitled to get free nav updates for 3 years but I have to leave the car at the dealership to do the updates. However, I don't want to leave it there for 5 hours, just for a nav update. I am pretty sure that it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. Does anyone know how long it takes?

Nav updates are more likely from same data provider.

But thanks for the info
ps: I did read that installing a Xpipe doesn't void the motorplan, is this true?
