Help, driving on highway and something hit my car
Hi Guys,
Today is definitely not a good day for me. I was driving on the highway when I suddenly heard a loud thud, I then immediately pulled to the side of the road. I noticed that something struck my vehicle, next to the windshield. It hit the black piece that goes from the side of the windshield to the top of the car. If it hit 5cm to the right then for sure my windshield would have cracked. I am sure there is a name for this part, so can one please inform me on the part name/ number? Can this be easily replaced? thx

Thanks a lot..
Can this part be easily changed or will I have to take it to dealer?
is there any video tutorial or manual that can explain how to change it?
Can someone suggest a good site to order this part?

bump.
same thing. have only seen one other thread but looking for advice on how easy these things are to put back on. dont want to take it off only to realize it isnt as easy as just snapping it back on and requires other tools and new pieces.

Check this link. Start at 1:20 seems like a simple pry up with a plastic tool then pull up.

I need to replace on my car too at some point soon. Trim always seems like such a bugger to install properly.
Good video and I will bookmark this thread for future reference.
