Package for Handling Excellence!

Those who've read my posts know I have no interest in the appearance trend of lowering or stuffing tires into wheel wells....I've been modding to get the best possible handling and ride combination (understanding the Michigan climate impacts my tire choice). With my latest upgrade, I think I am there. Earlier, I had added:
  • Eibach anti-sway bars with urethane bushings front and rear
  • SMERC strut tower brace
  • Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires (but will replace with AS3 next time)
Yesterday, I had installed Bilstein B6 at all four corners. Car looks the same, but the even better sense of solidity and responsiveness has taken another step. This thing is really fun! The B6 do let you know if you're on less than billiard table smoothness, but it's very well managed, and not harsh...you just can feel a distant "thunk" on broken pavement, as opposed to our E which just floats over similar disruptions. With the B6, it's very quick and flat in transitional moves; it has to be felt to fully understand, but it is more "stable" than ever, through s-bends, 90s, anything I've tried today. This was a clear improvement over the OE struts (which would have been replaced by B4s, if I wanted the same OE performance).

For those not concerned about wheel well gaps to the tire, but just want the best handling C Class (short of a C63), the above total package works incredibly well with the W204. These parts have clearly been expertly designed and developed. The total to get there from OE has been about $3 grand, but the results have transformed the car.

No...but a very well designed overall balance from rough street to smooth highway.

if you were only to get one part of better handling, would it be the rear sway bar of strut bar? which part provided a better improvement in handling?
