Learned something about MB axle fluid

I changed the axle fluid on my '09 4matic this weekend. Although I believe there are a lot of synthetic oils that will work if the right weight and keep clean, I did want to use a MB approved oil. MB chart shows 235.7. approved oil, MB 75w 85, Fuchs 75w 85, Mobil FE 75w 85. I can not find anywhere that supplies it local. Nearest dealer is 60 mi. away, new dealer so wanted to check them out anyway. The parts man was new and had to ask techs a lot of questions and learned as much as I did. He showed me the screen he entered my VIN. Shows to use 235.7 on rear axle and 235.74 on the front. Both can take the MB 0019893303-12. Bottle has listed on it 235.7 & 235.74. I looked at the MB spec chart and it does list 235.7 for rear axles. And 235.74 for the front, but does not show the Fuchs oil or the Mobil FE oil as approved for being 235.74. Just wondering why any approved for rear won't be approved for the front. Rear is cast iron housing, front is alum. Front is more sheltered from cooling air and I am sure conducts heat from the engine. Just found this interesting and maybe someone else would be interested too.
