2010 W204 CEL
I've got a 2010 W204 C300, with about 39,700 miles (about to do trans service). No problems before but within the past 6 months, I've been getting quite a few check engine lights. First one came on, brought it to the dealer, they said it was a broken camshaft sensor and they replaced it. Another one came on for a few weeks, wasn't able to bring it to dealer, eventually went away. Most recent CEL came on, and dealer said it was a defective cam solenoid, replaced under warranty. ~5 days later (today), I'm getting another CEL, and have yet to bring it to the dealer. Are these indications of a bigger problem? Is there anything I should have the dealer check? Seems suspicious that all these things are going bad / triggering CEL... A little worried since warranty will end beginning of next year. Any input?

My car does get CEL's at least twice a year and they go by themselves.
I've replaced two cam solenoids within a month, a cam sensor, and defective ignition system within the 4 year warranty period.
Post warranty, I'm having abs/esp/ebr issues and headrest breaking(plastic clip broke), and melting rear taillights(repaired myself). Always keep your maintenance up to date. Get that trans flush service and make sure your SA logs every issue you have so when your warranty is done and that issue comes up again, you have ammo to have them repair it.
I don't know about MB's onboard computers but IMO, the BMW software throws random codes with no relation to actual problems. An OBDII reader is a definite necessity as your auto ages.
