Hello! I`ve got a C250 CDI w204 with folding mirrors. They fold in ok but when i try to fold them out, the mirror on the driver side doesn't stop at the normal position... it keeps folding out. I`ve searched through the forum and i tried the solutions that other users posted, manually folding them into normal position etc. It didn't work.


I would like to know if the folding mechanism is visible if i remove the plastic cover of the mirror or is it under the mirror? Is there any chance to change only that mechanism without having to buy a whole new mirror?

Try harder. It will move, use some force.

Same problem. Dealer wants 900 to fix the pivot joint.

Not worth it for me.

I can manually move it, i already did. But that didn't solve my problem as it did in the case of some other users. The mirror still folds out without stoping at the normal position...

If you want to retain the folding, you'll need to get it repaired or buy a new mirror.

Anybody knows if the mechanism is visible if i just remove the plastic cover of the mirror? I am kind of reluctant to do so... I`m afraid of braking it I already tried and it didn't come off, i have to apply alot of force.
