Advice on new C300 or C350?

I have 2 w210's which I love and will be keeping, but I need a newer car for long commutes. The 2014 C series looks good . I drove a C300 4matic and I was impressed.
My concern is reliability. W210 is known to be bulletproof-what about the new C series? I've read that they're only "average" in Consumer Reports scoring. I could go with C300 or C350. I don't necessarily need another 4Matic car but I wouldn't mind it either. I've ruled out the C250 as I am leery of turbocharged motors for the "long haul"

What are the most common repair issues for this series(sorry,I don't know the chassis series number-W204?)
Would you buy again?

Thanks for any advice on this

2013 C300 sport 4matic
I have the 2013 c300 sport 4matic , so far it's been good. The 2013 c300 basically have the same 3.5 L engine as the c350 , except it's been detuned as to not steal the thunder from the c350 300+ horse power rating.

I would go for 2014 c300 as there are already people reporting getting 300+ horse power with a reprogrammed ECU. You save a bunch of money and get almost same power as the c350.

Just check out on this forum on how many 4matics are failing. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ine-sound.html

If you don't need 4x4 why have one & carry around a time bomb & all the extra weight?

Hmmm. The weight is a fact. I didn't know the 4matics are problematic on the C series. I'm on the w210 forums (E320 wagon) and I haven't much about them as I recall.

I'll heed your advice and search the W204 forums for 4Matic issues.

Thanks--

Skip the 4matic. If you need winter traction, a proper set of winter tires will help you more than AWD.

I have snow tires installed on my E320 4Matic for winter driving. I can go anywhere on them. In the Spring I switch back to summer tires. But,I get your point and I know I don't need another 4Matic.

Yup. I have winter tires on my RWD 530i. It does great in midwest winters.
