Negotiating a new 2013 C-Class with 2014 already on the lot

So I know normal negotiated discount off of a newest model year MB is 15-20% off sticker. I am considering buying a new MY 2013 C class as I know the dealer has a handful of holdovers on the lot. I am trying to find out what kind of discount off sticker I should aim for, I am thinking 30-35% off sticker. I already told my sales guy that he better bring some mind blowing discounts to the table and then expect me to ask for deeper discount, but I wanted to hear from the community on any past experiences. Share your knowledge. Greatly appreciated.

Anything over 15-16% is going to be rough I'd say - there's just not that much money to be had on a C class, even with holdbacks. I worked 15.4% off on my car, but that was on the back of a 6 month wait for my car because of the lighting package (production delays on 2012s with lighting) and they lowballed me slightly on my trade which I used as ammo for money off on the C.

Given that this is one of the last 2013s, and with the MB Winter Drive event going on - it might help a bit though.

What model/options are you looking at? If it is something with an uncommon color combination, uncommon options, no P1 package or a luxury - you might be able to use that as more ammo. (Not a slam against the Lux at all - just not as common).

C250
On Nov 16, 2013, I got 16% off the MSRP price of $37,900, on a 2014 C250. So 15% or alittle more is not a surprise. With the W205 coming, dealers needs to be pushing out the their cars in the lot.

Stick to your guns and know exactly what price you want (reasonable) and mostly they will give in. Im totally happy with my 2014 C250 and on the price I got it for. Good luck!!

Factory ordered 2012 MB C350 w/Dynamic Handling Package
15-20% off is quite an accomplishment.
I believe mine ended up being in the 11-12% off range.
Similar to "MDMercedesGuy", mine was a special order that took nearly 9 months to be delivered because of the Japanese Tsunami which delayed lighting packages worldwide.
I remember it being quite a while since we custom ordered my 2012 C350 around the same time my wife became pregnant, and the car was delivered to my local dealer when my wife was giving labor.

No deal on 2013, but got a DREAM on loaded 2014

Update:
By the time came to go to the dealer and make a deal all but one 2013 was sold and it was really bare bones, so I didn't work any numbers on it. But I found a beauty. The salesman said he didn't think a 2014 C250 Sedan with a Pano roof existed. I asked him to search national inventory. He said there were 7 in the US. Then I gave him the cars VIN that I had pulled off their own website inventory about 2hrs before, and there it was on their offsite lot in the far back as it it where an a redheaded stepchild.

Here is what I ended up getting.

2014 C-250 Sport Sedan MSRP $49,110

901 : Black MBtex/DINAMECA Red Stitching
739 : Aluminum Trim

That's a great deal, and what a loaded car!

I managed 15.6% off my '14 C250 in December, and it only has Premium and Multimedia Packages and KEYLESS-GO. The only thing I miss not having is the Lighting Package.

Congratulations and enjoy your new C250!

Live in Southern California? 30% off is a fantasy, but 15% isn't that unusual here, I think. The OP seems to have gotten a *really* good deal, though!

No i'm up north in Seattle. Bought my C300 from MB of Seattle. Not happy with the deal. I think i could have negotiated more. I started off fine but they didnt bugde at all. $32K was their last offer take it or leave it. luckily i found a financing deal on similar car at other dealership so they reduced $300 more.

No, I meant you probably need to live in Southern California to get the really good deals (at least, that's the way it sounds from the posts here).

Not sure what options you have on your car, but my base (only options were wood and satellite radio) 2012 C250 was purchased new for ~$34,000 OTD. There's a ton of dealers and a lot of stock in the LA county area, so the dealers have to be pretty aggressive if they want your business, I think (there are 3 MB dealers alone w/i a 12-mi radius of my home).
