Air suspension on new w205

I keep reading various places that the new c class (2015) will offer air suspension. I'm not sure if this going to be available on the US version, BUT, if it is, does anyone know what this type of feature would cost?

I'm sure it's part of a "performance package", or luxury package, etc..., but just the system alone I'm wondering what kind of cost we'll be looking at. A generic search of air suspension systems that fit different mercedes look like they run in the $1600 or so range for a seemingly complete kit. So a car manufacture would probably tack on quite a bit for it being "OEM" and labor. Any guesses?

Wouldn't it be like the dynamic stability system in the w204?

The Airmatic option for the E550 is $1600.
Airmatic has been available for the E350 in other markets but not for the US, so I wouldnt expect to see the US getting that option for the C class.
But you never know...

I'm not sure you would want Airmatic. Fairly good for comfort. Does not work well in some situations. Not great for handling. As Doa states it can be expensive to maintain especially on cars that stand around a lot & are not used daily.

The technology is interesting, but probably not worth it. Most of us know if we like firm and sporty or soft and luxurious. If I had an airmatic, I would probably find one single setting and leave it there forever lol. Kinda defeats the purpose.
