This topic has come up from time to time.....here's a good and typical example from Automotive News that shows where MB goes shopping for parts.....

Yes, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey etc. Many of their Behr radiators & other components come from South Africa.
I hope they don't suffer the Delphi injector meltdown problem they had with the W204 diesels.
Even Porsche uses Aisin transmissions
