C350 Lowering advice???

"Guys" I need some advice. I have a 09 C350 Sport with 20x8.5 / 20x10 Vossen CV3's on it with 225/30 and 275/25. I have a little less than a 1 finger gap in the front and a little more than a 2 finger gap in the rear. I like how the front sits but I don't like how high the rear is. I know the right thing to do is get a set of coilovers for it but money is kinda tight right now. My question is, "Would it be ok to only lower ONLY the rear of the car using only the rear springs of an Eibach or H&R spring set with a 1.4 inch drop?" Not sure how it would affect the ride (which is already rough with 25 series tires) or anything else with the car. What do you think?????

I think the seasoned pros would first ask wheel offsets front/rear. You can lower your car for looks, but a 20x10 wheel on a 275 tire will most likely rub.

You can do almost anything you want with the car , its your choice and it seems you are making these mods for appearance not performance. The ride and handling will most likely be negatively effected just as it was by going to a lower profile tire, it will get more harsh and by only lowering the rear you are changing the overall stance / geometry of the car so again it will be effected and show in the way the car handles

Yes, I have noticed that there is a difference in the performance of the car, especially when I "get on it" in turns and corners but it still does pretty well. I too wonder what just lowering the rear will further do to the performance of the car.

based off your specs if you lower it the rear will rub.
