Which fog light bulbs to go with DDM HID kit?

I'm going to be getting the DDM 35W 6000K HID kit for my car. What kind of bulbs can I install in the fog lights to get the same/similar color match to the HID headlights. I know HIDs in the fogs would be the best bet but I saw the DIY write-up and honestly it just seems like more of a PITA project than I'd care to tackle myself.

So what's out there that will work? Philips Ultra Crystal Vision? Sylvania Silverstars?

BTW I've ordered Polarg bulbs for my eyelids, license plate, and bumper lights as well

Thanks in advance guys

Great thank you!

The reason I've held off so long on changing/upgrading the lights is that I'm pretty **** and would have to have ALL the lights match as close as possible. So now that I've finally decided to do it I'm looking into all options before choosing one.

I am also considering going with non HID matching bulbs (Philips Diamond/Crystal Vision or Silverstars) in the headlights and foglights just to get a better match/look

Don't worry I feel you. It took me a while before I upgraded as well. Only thing is that I chose the Diamond Visions instead of HIDs because of those reviews, dark spots, glare etc.

Just did a quick google search and found really good reviews and pics for the Diamond Visions...Hmmm I may go with DVs in the headlights and foglights and save myself the trouble of messing with HIDs lol

Wow those look great...very white and a VERY close match to the eyelids as well.

Now to find them! I did a google search and couldn't find them anywhere. One seller on EBay was selling them for $90...but def not paying that much for a set of non-HID bulbs!

About the HID fogs, unless you're talking about taking off the bumper, installing HIDs in the fogs should be similar to installing HIDs in the low beams. The DIY you saw used a homemade bulb holder for some reason, and maybe that's why you thought it would be a PITA.

Since the Philips Diamond/Crystal Visions aren't sold in the US...how do the Sylvania Silverstar/Silverstar Ultras compare?

Thanks! I guess you'll have to be a bit more patient to find them. It shouldn't cost you that much. Guess you'll have to wait for other forum members to let you know where they got theirs. Got mine from a local store so couldn't help.

A forum member here have it on his fogs. Try searching for it. If I haven't mistaken, its said to be better than the Luminics.

Bump

Those lows look unreal! I ordered a DDM kit, but these DV lights look great to do instead for the headlights.

I went to a local R&S Strauss but they only have the crystal vision. I am going to go back and see if I can order Diamond Visions... Is there much of a difference between the 2 just in case I cant find the Diamonds?

I'm not too sure how the crystal vision would look cause I have not seen it in person before. Its rated at 4300k instead of 5000k which the Diamond Visions are rated at. I guess the Crystal Visions are like white with a hint of yellow instead of blue? Don't know whether that describes it but yea..

Thanks Royce

I am going to stop by the store in a little bit and see if they have the Diamond Visions.

I remember reading that they were hard to find in the U.S. so if I do find them I will let you guys know and if anyone wants a set I can pick it up for them and ship.

Dont bother with non hid bulbs if you want to "match" your fogs.. they will never be a perfect match thats just the honest truth idc what any1 says or what pics you see.. its hard enough matching fogs with you headlights if you dont use the same brand hid"s..

I think we're talking about using non hid bulbs on both the lows and fogs instead of "matching" them with hid lows??
