Anyone have experience with Gintani or Modern Horsepower (MHP) ECU Re-mapping?
Has anyone had experience with Alex at Gintani Motorworks in Van Nuys, CA? Their ECU re-mapping is $650 plus $100 for dyno tune. Alex said they have their own software and it can't be read at the dealer so wouldn't affect the warranty (I have 2-yr extended).
MHP charges $995 and you mail the ECU to them and they bench flash it. No dyno tune.
I have heard that if you remap the ECU and MB comes out with any software upgrades, you can't get the upgrade unless you go back to stock. Is that so?
I'm lovin' the car, just want a bit more throttle response.
TIA for your considered responses.
I'm not familiar with either of those tuners, however since you're in Southern CA, you might as well look into OE Tuning as well (http://oetuning.com/).
I plan to have my 350 tuned before the end of the month.
Good luck with yours. Please report back with your results!
