Smart key not working
All of a sudden my key won't unlock my doors or start my car. Whenever I press a button it blinks red. I changed the batteries and that did nothing. I went to jump my car thinking my battery might be dead and all that did was sent the alarm off.
What's going on here? Faulty fob? I know you can pull the physical key out to unlock doors, but not start the car, right?

The Valet key blade will only open the door. What year is your car? I already had to replace the battery in my 2013 key- my 2008 was 5 years old with original batteries.

I'm sorry to hear that Vinny. It may be time to take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. It may cost a few benjamin from the dealer. Check out that website I posted, perhaps they can provide a new key fob for less ?

Yeah the dealer said it's $245 for a new key. One dealer said he can check the key and the other dealer said he can reprogram the key - even though I heard that wasn't possible.
