Transmission/Gearbox problem
Hello, I have one of the first C300's out there, if you check the photo thread my C300 is the very first one posted, its been a really good car, run almost daily and always reliable, nonetheless lately when driving it gets stuck in what seem 3rd gear 
It does it some times, driving normally and then its stuck in 3rd, if I stop and put it in Parking I get a big jerk and when I get back to Drive it is still in 3rd gear. The only way to get it back to normal is to turn it off and then on and drive. I don't get any annoucement from the dash or anything, I told the SA to check it out and he said nothing came up
Any comments? Suggestions? Anyone else with this problem? TIA.

You could try changing the fluid and filter, I changed from the OEM fluid to Fuchs 4134 fluid which is approved by MB. I also changed out the rear diff oil. Made a world of difference though I can't pinpoint which was more rewarding. Also, you could just try the TCU reset for now and see if that helps. Or ask your SA to hook up your car and see if it has the newest software flashed in.
