C300 Sport 6MT
FS: New Alcantara Shift Knob/Boot
Took a chance on this one... the boot for the 6MT is obviously much bigger than the automatics, but I really only wanted the knob. I figured swapping the knobs would be easy enough. The actual removal of all components is actually pretty straight forward. My only problem is... the actual shift lever/post is much thicker in the 6MT. I guess having to row through the gears a hundred times a day calls for a beefier lever vs the slushboxes. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So, there is no way I can make this knob fit my car. The inner plastic barrel to accommodate the automatics is basically sealed so I'd have to destroy it in order to try and swap the barrel from my car. Will have to keep looking for a manual-specific knob from ebay.de.
The front of the knob is alcantara while the back (where your palm rests) is leather.
$100 + shipping. Preference given to local buyers (Portland, OR), naturally.
