2012 C300 CPO - Prepaid maintenance???
I just bought 2012 C300 CPO 3 weeks back and i was offered prepaid maintenance for next 3 services for about $1500. My car has 15K miles on it now and service A and B both are done on it. last one was done in Dec. So my question is the prepaid maintenance worth it for $1500?
I am assuming my next 3 services will be A B A and I'm pretty sure i wont reach 40K by then on miles since i mostly vanpool.

I thought MB was offering two services for free with the extended warranty during last month's promo. You should check the MB site, because I purchased a C300 in December and I did purchase 3 services for $1090 and then I saw that as of January 1st MB was throwing in the first two services for free and 1.99% on the loan.
You can buy the service from another dealer, check and see if you can find it for less. There is a guy on another MB site who works for a MB dealer in Chicago, I think and he sells them for $1100.
But I would first go to the MB site and see if the offer covers your car and if so go back to the dealer and ask what is going on?

$1500 sounds awful steep. The two A's should be $300 or less and the B should be $600 or less. Worst case $1200.
If this is the MB factory maintenance then the cost is too high for what they are going to do. If it is dealer provided then maybe they are giving you the platinum package that includes windshield wipers, espresso and avian.
Another option is to only use the dealer for the A or B and have an independent shop that specializes in german cars do the others. Their As are normally $125 and Bs about $250- $350.

$1500 is way too much based on my area for 2 A services and 1 B service. I pay $ 199 for the A service including a wash and loaner and $ 299 for the B service with wash and loaner, if it is also time to do the brake Fluid Flush with the B service its another $ 125.00 So total for the 3 services is $ 697.00 or if it also is do for Brake Fluid Flush $ 822.00.

When I leased my new car last year, to sweeten the deal I had the dealer throw in 3 yrs free maintenance service. There must be a LOT of profit in the MB service package.

My dealer charges $200 for service A, and and $370 for service B (or $465 with brake fluid flush), so no, I would not pay $1500 for that maintenance plan.

Thanks for the inputs guys.. i purchased the car on 8th Jan and at that time the deal of free 2 prepaid services was not there, at least i didnt see it.
Nelson_g, where do you see the offer started on 1st Jan? On MBUSA.com it says the deal starts on 15th Jan..
do you guys think it worth to ask the dealer to give me 2 free prepaid maintenance as part of the current offer? or will i be shot down?

I most of thought it was the first, because I heard a commerical for it. And yes you can but the service from someone else and use it at another dealer.
