Tune2Air Question / mini review
Just got my Tune2Air in order to stream A2DP bluetooth songs to my harmon / kardon command unit which didn't support native music streaming in 09.
Sound quality is great, despite some audiophiles being anti-bluetooth, I recommend it.
Automatic turn on and off is fast, and the Tune2Air / iPhone 5 combination has no issues switching between music and incoming calls without issue, also I can control the track from the steering wheel.
Question:My only problem is that the song information, current song playing, playlists, etc. are not displayed on the pop up head display. This is an advertised feature and others have reported having it. Did anyone else have this problem or know a fix? Could it be I need to update the tune2air firmware? I would try this before asking but the process being difficult is a known fact, and I'm on a mac making it even harder.

I have the same setup. I assume you have the ipod kit not UMI. iPod kit does not show any information on the pop up display. You can only access your song information on your speedo with ipod kit. I know it sucks that Merc is lack of technology.

Yeah I do have the iPod hookup kit. I'm just happy the tune2air is working plug and play with the old school iPod wire in the glove and powering it. I was afraid of the whole 28pin/30pin distinction and it potentially not powering my tune2air.
snowmuch, are you able to access playlist info from the speedo? I can only fast forward and skip tracks. Everything else I have to pull out the iPhone.
It's weird because in the speedo menu it says above the song title "iPod>" the arrow makes me feel as if i should be able to access sub menus on the speedo but I can't.

Wait I have the 7 inch pop up nav, the multimedia package. Is that the UMI? I thought UMI was a newer model year thing. Should I be able to see song info on a 2009 c300 with multimedia package / HK sound.

I've sold all my ipods. I only have an iPhone 5 which has the newer lighting cable and can't connect to the ipod wire in glove compartment. One time tried connecting a friends iPhone 4 direct and the connection was shorty. So no way to test what you are asking really.

Yes, and the audio/aux menu on the command 7" screen just shows I am connected. No song title is displayed there and no ability to search through playlists, which when direct connected to friends iPod I now remember being able to do. Song titles are only appearing on the speedo.
