C-Class side view style

And body crease line does not line up with handles. BMW and some other makes do.
The above two are not my taste. Everything else style wise is pretty good.

The raked and swept language is one of the primary reasons I got it. Very elegant yet sporty, with some very cool angles and lines.

Normally I don't care much about style like that, but recently the more I stare at it the more I feel it is out of balance.
While writing, I saw adanmtxt1's picture came in, nice. I looked at my C one more time, ok. However, I prefer my neighbor's BMW 3-series side style, only its style, not the car at all. Am I too conservative? I like things "traditionally" elegant, not too fancy not too busy looking.

The good news is most cars in this segment offer very fine craftsmanship, materials, and performance, but with different character. Unfortunately if you do like a particular manufacturer but not the current suite of models, you're kind of relegating yourself to previous generation cars which with the Germans can be expensive from a maintenance perspective. As I and others I know have come to accept, it's a balance between daily-driving an ideal car in your mind's eye and what can become a project car / continual work-in-progress which doesn't have the reliability of current-gen cars.
The current c63 amg's profile looks even more 'tilted forward/nose heavy' somehow to my eye even though it's basically the same shape. Mercedes puts just enough stuff on it to look awesome (amg) and not huge spoiler silly.
