Mud Flaps

Thinking of having the dealer put these on before I take delivery. He is telling me they come painted with primer and need to be painted the color of the car.
True or just trying to make some more money?

Car is C300, Luxury Sedan, Steel Grey.

Thanks

Genuine Mercedes mud flaps are black hard rubber.

They are designed to be hit frequently by real stones & grit, not to be some cosmetic appendage. They are robust & robustly clipped. The clips are far stronger than the car's bodywork.

Oh yes their are. There are genuine flaps for all body styles & genuine skirts/bumpers. The fit is impeccable.

From my memory of living in Baltimore (actually Columbia, but drove in to work every day), the boulders and gravel on the roads are quite minimal! If you have some desire for a mud flap and cosmetic appendage in one, these have done a great job of preventing blow back along the side of the car/sill area and don't look quite so "trucky". They have proven to be quite secure and durable.

Scroll down on this link for a few choices for W204, painted or not. (although I'm not sure I've seen them for Lux, as I re-read your newest posts)

SS ~ I have always liked your flaps. They look really good!

Saffers & Aussies on this forum are likely to do many hundreds of miles on dirt roads and the genuine Benz flap is a good compromise for us. They look OK & sort of blend into the tyre from most angles & are up to the arduous job of our conditions.

they look good. I am happy with the black rubber. I also think the black with Steel Grey will look good

Just being a bit cheeky! The ones on your car look great as well. They were clearly designed to blend in to the design very well. It's ones like these that get my eyeball twitchy.....

If those are the flaps, then what is on my car? I have these small looking flaps that are rubber black. They are really small.
