If you have noticed some oil leaking from the back of your engine, the cause may be as simple as a failed expansion plug.
These expansion plugs are located in the rear of the cylinder heads on your Mercedes-Benz engine. Over time, the rubber o-ring that seals this expansion plug to the cylinder head can become brittle and fail, causing oil to leak.
