car jerks occasionally

I am driving a W204/ C180/CGI / 2010. The car will suddenly jerk (once) when its running at approx. 40-60 kmh but it did not stall. This happen quite frequent but not all the time.

What could be the problem ? Does the Rear SAM has anything to do with it ?

Could be time for a transmission software update.

a buddy had a problem shifting from 4-5th gear which was somewhat fixed with a software update. The same deal did an update on my car even if i didnt have a problem. Instead I got a car back that felt more aggressive to drive...

What year is your car? If it's still running the 5g-tronic then there is no software update for it, I've been pestering my dealer for the past year. As for the jerkiness, I get it sometimes also, I also get some weird thing that seems like engine braking done on manual cars. In any case, try doing a throttle reset which can be found in the sticky in our forum.

I had the same problem in my 2012 W204. I changed crankshaft adjuster sensor and solenoid and problem gone!
