what hID kit is everyone using? I'm using the morimoto 3five with the canbus harness and it's so annoying about 60% of the time one of the lights will not come on and gives me an error on the dash. i have to restart the car to get it to turn on.

I threw in a set of phillips diamond vision halogens because of it and would really like to find an HID kit that works 100% of the time.

That's a bummer. Purchased from The Retrofit Source? Have you contacted them? TRS had great customer service when I bought from them years ago and I hear they're still the best for HID parts and projects. Might be worth a shot to let them know the issues you've experienced.

Yes i bought from the TRS. I was using a set i bought about a year ago. and i recently replaced those with the new 2014 ones with 23kv ignitors and still experience the same problems. Even with new canbus adapters. =\

Mine works great from TRS. I got the 55w tho.

Do you feel any excessive Heat from 55w? I'm afraid of usin 55w from fear of burning the projector bowls.

I got my HID's preinstalled by USR. Never got an error code once (knock on wood). Maybe they (USR) can advice on the type of HID kit they are willing to install along with the canbus harness type.

We include Canbus (No Error) Xenon HID system to the W204 Headlight and it carries 1-Year warranty. We do not recommend 55W HID as it does burn hotter that risk of melting inside housing and/or the connector socket.

We have already placed the order some time ago, but only got confirmation recently about the limited quantity of re-supply from our vendor. And we can't confirm 100% on the discount we can offer until we know the final tally of the group buy. Obviously if we buy 300 sets vs. 30 sets, you can image our price from our vendor will be different. And we try to give the best discount we can offer, so please understand that we rather not just spill out some estimated number and can't deliver. Also, putting your name on the list is merely showing an interest and gets priority when the limited re-supply comes, you have no obligation to purchase so you have nothing to worry about. Thank you for the clarification. I was more wondering about timing and probably a ballpark price (even a range would be good). The names of "interested" buyers that are being added to the list are coming in fairly slowly at one or two a day. If you're waiting for 300, thats good to know but most likely that would mean late summer next year, and many of the committed people will be long gone. It seems like you should order 50 sets, and give the folks on this list priority access to them for a given stated time frame only (2 weeks?), then offer them to the general public. I have to think you wouldn't sit on the unsold balance of inventory long.
Don't mean to be a dick... just hoping to get them sooner than later.

I see your concerns. Actually, I believe we mentioned it's about 2 ~ 3 weeks before we receive the new shipment in one of our posts. So, we will most likely be taking pre-order in a week and a half or so. Ballpark price would be the price we list on our site, then consider the Group Buy discount that will be applied on it. All I can say for sure is that we guarantee by the time group buy starts, it will be the lowest price you can find in USA. Thanks.
